Juz 7
Animals (Al-An 'aam)
165 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr) before The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Praise be Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord. (1) It is He who created you from clay then determined a term (of life) for you, and a term (is fixed) with Him. Even then you doubt. (2) And He is Allah, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn. (3) And never does a sign come to them from among the signs of Allah, except that they* turn away from it. (* The disbelievers) (4) For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule. (5) Have they not seen how many generations We have destroyed before them whom We had established in the land in a way We never established you, sending down for them abundant water from the sky and made the rivers to flow underneath them? Yet because they sinned, We destroyed them and raised up other generations after them. (6) Had We sent down on thee a Book on parchment and so they touched it with their hands, yet the unbelievers would have said, 'This is naught but manifest sorcery.' (7) They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them. (8) And had we appointed an angel as a Prophet, We would still have made him as a man and would keep them in the same doubt, as they are now in. (9) Messengers indeed were mocked at before thee; but those that scoffed at them were encompassed by that they mocked at. (10)
