Juz 7
Animals (Al-An 'aam)
165 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr) before The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Praise be to Allah, Who hath created the heavens and the earth, and hath appointed darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their Lord. (1) It is He who created you from clay then determined a term (of life) for you, and a term (is fixed) with Him. Even then you doubt. (2) And He is Allah in the heavens and on earth. He knoweth what ye hide, and what ye reveal, and He knoweth the (recompense) which ye earn (by your deeds). (3) And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom. (4) and thus they gave the lie to the Truth that has now come to them. Soon they will come upon some news concerning what they had mocked at. (5) Have they not regarded how We destroyed before them many a generation We established in the earth, as We never established you, and how We loosed heaven upon them in torrents, and made the rivers to flow beneath them? Then We destroyed them because of their sins, and raised up after them another generation; (6) But even if we had sent down unto thee [O Prophet] a writing on paper, and they had touched it with their own hands - those who are bent on denying the truth would indeed have said, "This is clearly nothing but a deception!" (7) They have said, "Why has not an angel come to him (Muhammad)?" Had We sent an angel to them, the matter would have inevitably been out of their hands, and they would have been given no more time. (8) And had we appointed an angel as a Prophet, We would still have made him as a man and would keep them in the same doubt, as they are now in. (9) And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule. (10)
