Juz 7
Animals (Al-An 'aam)
165 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr) before The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
ALL PRAISE BE to God who created the heavens and the earth, and ordained darkness and light. Yet the unbelievers make the others equal of their Lord. (1) It is He who created you from clay then determined a term (of life) for you, and a term (is fixed) with Him. Even then you doubt. (2) He is God both in the heavens and on earth. He has knowledge of all that you hide and all that you reveal. He knows what you do; (3) And there does not come to them any communication of the communications of their Lord but they turn aside from it (4) They cried lies to the truth when it came to them, but there shall come to them news of that they were mocking. (5) Have they not seen how many generations We have destroyed before them whom We had established in the land in a way We never established you, sending down for them abundant water from the sky and made the rivers to flow underneath them? Yet because they sinned, We destroyed them and raised up other generations after them. (6) (O Messenger!) Had We sent down to you a book incribed on parchment, and had they even touched it with their own hands, the unbelievers would still have said: 'This is nothing but plain magic.' (7) They have said, "Why has not an angel come to him (Muhammad)?" Had We sent an angel to them, the matter would have inevitably been out of their hands, and they would have been given no more time. (8) And had We made him an angel, We would still have made him a man, and We would have confounded for them that which they are confounding. (9) Messengers have been mocked before you, but those who scoffed were overtaken by the very thing they scoffed at. (10)
