Juz 15
The Cave (Al-Kahf)
110 verses, revealed in Mecca after Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah) before The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Praise be to Allah Who has revealed to His servant the Book devoid of all crookedness; (1) and which rightly directs, to give warning of stern punishment from Him, and to proclaim to the believers who do righteous deeds that they shall have an excellent recompense, (2) They will abide therein for ever. (3) and admonish those who say that God has begotten a son. (4) They have no knowledge of this, nor did their forefathers have any either. What they say is monstrous: they are merely uttering falsehoods! (5) Perhaps, you, would kill yourself (O Muhammad SAW) in grief, over their footsteps (for their turning away from you), because they believe not in this narration (the Quran). (6) Lo! We have placed all that is on the earth as an ornament thereof that We may try them: which of them is best in conduct. (7) Verily what is on earth we shall make but as dust and dry soil (without growth or herbage). (8) Did you know that the People of the Cave and People close to the Woods, were Our exceptional signs? (9) When the young men took refuge in the Cave then said, “Our Lord! Give us mercy from Yourself, and arrange guidance for us in our affair.” (10) Wherefore We put a covering over their ears in the cave for a number of years. (11) Then We roused them to find out which of the party had the correct account of the duration of their sleep in the cave. (12)
