T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. (1) We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, (2) but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; (3) It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. (4) The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. (5) To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. (6) And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. (7) God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! (8) Hast thou received the story of Moses? (9) When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. (10) Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! (11) Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, (12) I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. (13) Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. (14) “The Last Day will surely come it was close that I hide it from all in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) (15) Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. (16) "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" (17) 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' (18) He said: Cast it down, O Musa! (19) So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. (20) Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. (21) And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. (22) That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. (23) Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' (24)
