Juz 16
T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. (1) We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. (2) But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - (3) it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, (4) The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). (5) Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. (6) And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. (7) Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. (8) Has the story of Moses reached you? (9) When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' (10) So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” (11) I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. (12) I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. (13) I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. (14) Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: (15) Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. (16) The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" (17) He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." (18) Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! (19) So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. (20) [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. (21) "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] (22) That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. (23) Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. (24)
