T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' (1) We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, (2) it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; (3) A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. (4) The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. (5) To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. (6) And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. (7) Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. (8) Have you heard the story of Moses? (9) Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. (10) So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: (11) I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. (12) and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. (13) Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. (14) Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). (15) "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. (16) And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" (17) 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' (18) (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" (19) So Moosa put it down thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. (20) (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. (21) And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. (22) That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, (23) Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). (24)
