T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. (1) We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, (2) But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. (3) It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, (4) The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. (5) His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. (6) And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. (7) Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. (8) Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? (9) When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." (10) But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! (11) "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. (12) I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. (13) I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. (14) Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. (15) Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. (16) "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" (17) He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." (18) He said: 'Moses, cast it down' (19) So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. (20) Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. (21) And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. (22) So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. (23) Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." (24)
