T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] (1) We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. (2) but only as a reminder to him who tears, (3) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. (4) the Merciful willed to the Throne. (5) His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. (6) And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. (7) Allah there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. (8) And did the news of Moosa reach you? (9) Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." (10) So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: (11) Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, (12) I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. (13) "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! (14) The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. (15) Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. (16) And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" (17) Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." (18) (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" (19) So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. (20) (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. (21) "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, (22) This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. (23) Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). (24)
