Juz 16
T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ O MAN! (1) We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; (2) but as a reminder to he who fears. (3) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, (4) (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). (5) To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. (6) And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. (7) Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. (8) Has the story of Moses reached you? (9) When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait I have seen a fire perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” (10) When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, (11) I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. (12) I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. (13) "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. (14) "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. (15) So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. (16) And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! (17) He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." (18) Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! (19) So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. (20) 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. (21) Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. (22) That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. (23) Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." (24)
