Juz 16
T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha (1) We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, (2) but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: (3) it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, (4) The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). (5) His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. (6) Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. (7) God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. (8) Have you heard the story of Moses? (9) When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' (10) And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, (11) "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. (12) And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. (13) Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. (14) Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. (15) Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish! (16) What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' (17) He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." (18) "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). (19) So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. (20) (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. (21) And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, (22) "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. (23) Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. (24)
