Juz 16
T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' (1) We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, (2) but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: (3) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. (4) (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). (5) To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. (6) Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. (7) Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. (8) And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? (9) Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." (10) When he approached it, a voice called out: (11) Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. (12) "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. (13) "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. (14) Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. (15) Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. (16) "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" (17) He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." (18) Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" (19) So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. (20) The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." (21) And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. (22) We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. (23) Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' (24)
