The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
112 verses, revealed in Mecca after Abraham (Ibrahim) before The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The time of people's reckoning has drawn near, and yet they turn aside in heedlessness. (1) no Remembrance from their Lord comes to them lately renewed, but they listen to it yet playing, (2) With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware [of it]?" (3) He said: "My Lord knows well all that is spoken in the heavens and the earth. He is All-Hearing, All- Knowing." (4) Nay, they say:"These (revelations of the Quran which are inspired to Muhammad SAW) are mixed up false dreams! Nay, he has invented it! Nay, he is a poet! Let him then bring us an Ayah (sign as a proof) like the ones (Prophets) that were sent before (with signs)!" (5) Not one habitation that We destroyed before them had believed. So how can they believe? (6) Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message. (7) nor did We fashion them as bodies that ate not food, neither were they immortal; (8) Then We made Our promise good to them, so We delivered them and those whom We pleased, and We destroyed the extravagant. (9) We have indeed sent down towards you a Book, in which is your repute; so do you not have sense? (10)
