Juz 19
۞ Those who do not expect a meeting with Us say, "Why are angels not sent down to us?" Or "Why do we not see our Lord?" Surely, they are too proud of themselves and have greatly exceeded all bounds. (21) The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible." (22) for We shall have turned towards all the [supposedly good] deeds they ever wrought, and shall have transformed them into scattered dust (23) Those who have earned the Garden on that day will be better in their home and happier in their place of noonday rest; (24) The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),- (25) The Sovereignty on that day will be the True (Sovereignty) belonging to the Beneficent One, and it will be a hard day for disbelievers. (26) The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet. (27) Ah! woe unto me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! (28) Indeed, he led me astray from the remembrance [of God] after it had come unto me!" For [thus it is:] Satan is ever a betrayer of man. (29) The prophet will say: "O my Lord, my people had fettered the Qur'an." (30) Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. (31) Those who deny the truth say, "Why was the Quran not sent down to him in a single revelation?" We sent it in this manner, so that We might strengthen your heart. We gave it to you in gradual revelation. (32) They do not bring to you any parable but that which We bring to you is the truth and better in explanation. (33) Those who will be gathered into Gehenna (Hell) upon their faces shall be in the worst in place, and have gone further astray from the Path. (34)
