Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
34 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat) before Sheba (Saba)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. (1) THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, full of wisdom, (2) A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- (3) Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. (4) These are on guidance from their Lord, and these! they are the blissful ones. (5) And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. (6) And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in his stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not: as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce thou unto him a torment afflictive. (7) The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise (8) therein to dwell forever -- God's promise in truth; and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. (9) He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. (10) This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error (11)
