Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
34 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat) before Sheba (Saba)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. (1) These are revelations of the wise Scripture, (2) A guidance and a mercy for the doers of goodness, (3) Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. (4) It is they who are on true guidance from their Lord, and it is they who shall prosper. (5) There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. (6) And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. (7) Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure. (8) Wherein they will abide. It is a promise of Allah in truth. He is the Mighty, the Wise. (9) He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. (10) Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error. (11)
