Initiator (Faater)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan) before Mary (Maryam)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All praise is to Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth, Who assigns angels as messengers who have pairs of two, three, four wings; He increases in creation whatever He wills; indeed Allah is Able to do all things. (1) No one can withhold the mercy which Allah opens to mankind; and whatever He withholds so after it, none can release it; and only He is the Most Honourable, the Wise. (2) O mankind, remember the favor of Allah upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded? (3) But if they [whose minds are perverted] give thee the lie, [O Prophet, remember that] even so, before thy time, have [other] apostles been given the lie: for [the unbelievers always refuse to admit that] all things go back to God [as their source]. (4) O Men. The promise of God is true. Let not the life of this world deceive you, nor let the Deceiver deceive you about God. (5) Satan is certainly your enemy, so hold him as a foe. He only calls his faction to be the residents of Hell. (6) Those who are bent on denying the truth will have a severe punishment, while those who believe and do good deeds will have forgiveness and a great reward. (7)
