Juz 3
The Amramites (Al-Imraan)
200 verses, revealed in Medina after The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal) before The Parties (Al-Ahzaab)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif. Lam. Mim. (1) Allah! There is no god save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. (2) He has sent down to you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) this true Book (the Holy Qur’an), confirming the Books before it, and He sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Bible). (3) Aforetime, as a guidance to mankind, And He sent down the criterion [of judgement between right and wrong (this Quran)]. Truly, those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, for them there is a severe torment; and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Able of Retribution. (4) Nothing on earth or in the heavens is hidden from God: (5) It is He who forms you in the wombs however He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (6) He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding. (7) (They say): "Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower." (8) Our Lord, it is Thou that shall gather mankind for a day whereon is no doubt; verily God will not fail the tryst. (9)
