Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
37 verses, revealed in Mecca after Smoke (Al-Dukhaan) before The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. (1) The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (2) Indeed, there are signs in the heavens and earth for believers, (3) And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. (4) and in the alternation of night and day, and the provision God sends down from heaven, and therewith revives the earth after it is dead, and the turning about of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. (5) These are the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of Allah, which We recite to you (O Muhammad SAW) with truth. Then in which speech after Allah and His Ayat will they believe? (6) Alas the woe for every dissembling sinner (7) He hears the verses of Allah recited to him and then, as though he never heard them, persists in insolence. Give to him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. (8) And when he cometh to know aught of Our revelations, he taketh it scoffingly. These! theirs shall be a torment ignominous; (9) Hell is ahead of them; and all that they may have gained [in this world] shall be of no avail whatever to them, and neither shall any of those things which, instead of God, they have come to regard as their protectors: for, awesome suffering awaits them. (10) This is the (true) guidance; and for those who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord is the severest of painful punishments. (11)
