Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? (24) When they came to him they said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" [saying to himself]. "They are strangers." (25) He went quietly to his wife and returned to his guests with a fat, roasted calf. (26) He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" (29) They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." (30) ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" (31) They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” (32) That we may send down upon them stone of clay, (33) They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". (34) So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. (35) But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. (36) and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement. (37) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. (38) But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." (39) We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. (40) And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind (41) that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. (44) and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. (45) And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. (46)
