Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? (24) Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." (25) Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, (26) and placed it before them. "Will you not eat?" he said, (27) Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. (28) Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' (29) They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' (30) ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” (31) They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. (32) that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones (33) "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. (39) So We seized him and his hosts, and We cast them into the sea, and he blameworthy. (40) And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. (41) and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. (42) And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. (43) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: (44) They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. (45) (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (46)
