Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? (24) They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' (25) Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, (26) And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." (29) They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” (30) ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" (31) They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people (32) to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. (36) We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. (37) And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, (38) Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. (39) Then We laid hold of him and his hosts and flung them into the sea, and he was reproachable. (40) And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. (41) that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. (42) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44) And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. (46)
