Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - (24) When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). (25) Then he went to his home so he brought a healthy calf. (26) And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! (29) They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." (30) ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” (31) They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, (32) so that we bring down stones of clay upon them (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. (39) So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. (40) There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind (41) which spared nothing of what it came upon, but caused [all of] it to become like bones dead and decayed. (42) And in the tribe of Thamud when it was told to them, “Enjoy for a while.” (43) They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. (44) and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. (45) And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. (46)
