Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? (24) When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," (25) Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf (26) And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. (28) His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" (29) They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." (30) ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? (31) They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, (32) To send down upon them stones of clay, (33) “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” (34) Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. (35) and We did not find there any, apart from a single house of Muslims (36) And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. (37) And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We seized him and his hosts, and cast them into the sea. He became an object of much blame. (40) And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" (43) But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. (44) they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. (46)
