Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? (24) When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, and brought a fatted calf, (26) and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. (28) Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' (29) They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' (30) ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! (31) They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, (32) to let loose upon them stone-hard blows of chastisement, (33) marked out in thy Sustainer's sight for [the punishment of] such as have wasted their own selves." (34) So We brought the believers out of that they were in. (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, (37) And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. (38) But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." (39) So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. (42) And in [the story of the tribe of] Thamud, too, when they were told, "You shall enjoy your life for [but] a little while," (43) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: (44) So they were not able to stand, nor could they help themselves. (45) The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. (46)
