Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? (24) When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. (25) So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf, (26) and placed it before them. "Will you not eat?" he said, (27) So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. (28) His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" (29) They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." (30) ۞ [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" (31) They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people (32) so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, (33) "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. (36) And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. (37) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. (39) So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. (40) And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. (41) It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. (42) And in [the story of the tribe of] Thamud, too, when they were told, "You shall enjoy your life for [but] a little while," (43) In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. (44) they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. (46)
