Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? (24) When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' (25) He went quietly to his wife and returned to his guests with a fat, roasted calf. (26) and laid it before them, saying: “Will you not eat?” (27) And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. (28) So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” (29) They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" (31) They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people (32) to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. (35) but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. (36) And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea, well-known in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment. (37) And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, (38) But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman. (39) So We seized him and his hosts, and We cast them into the sea, and he blameworthy. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. (42) And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' (43) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: (44) They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. (45) The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. (46)
