Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? (24) When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. (25) Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf (26) And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” (29) They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." (30) ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" (31) They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- (32) That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. (33) marked out in thy Sustainer's sight for [the punishment of] such as have wasted their own selves." (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. (36) And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. (37) As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. (39) So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. (40) There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind (41) It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. (42) And in [the story of the tribe of] Thamud, too, when they were told, "You shall enjoy your life for [but] a little while," (43) But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; (44) for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. (45) The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. (46)
