Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) Then he went to his home so he brought a healthy calf. (26) He set it before them, saying: 'Will you not eat' (27) So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. (28) (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' (29) They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" (31) They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, (32) To send down upon them stones of clay, (33) Marked, from before thy Lord, for the extravagant. (34) So We brought out from therein the believers. (35) for apart from one [single] house We did not find there any who had surrendered themselves to Us. (36) And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. (37) In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, (38) But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. (39) Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. (40) There is another sign in the [tribe of] 'Ad, when We sent against them a life-destroying wind (41) It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. (42) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Thamud. They were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a while.” (43) Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. (44) They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. (45) The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. (46)
