Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - (24) When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, (26) And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." (30) ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, (32) to loose upon them stones of clay (33) Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). (34) Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, (35) And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. (36) and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. (37) And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; (44) And neither stand up nor defend themselves. (45) And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. (46)
