Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, (26) He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” (27) (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. (28) So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” (29) They answered: "Thus has thy Sustainer decreed; and verily, He alone is truly wise, all-knowing!" (30) ۞ 'Messengers' said he (Abraham), 'what is your errand' (31) They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals (32) “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” (33) marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” (34) Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, (35) but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. (36) and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, (38) But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. (39) Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. (40) And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. (41) that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, (44) So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge. (45) And [thus, too, We destroyed] Noah's people aforetime: for they were iniquitous folk. (46)
