Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? (24) When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' (25) Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. (26) And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" (27) He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. (28) Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! (29) They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” (30) ۞ 'Messengers' said he (Abraham), 'what is your errand' (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people (32) so that we bring down stones of clay upon them (33) Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." (34) So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers. (35) but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the afflictive torment. (37) And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. (38) but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' (39) So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. (40) And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" (43) after they had turned with disdain from their Sustainer's commandment - whereupon the thunderbolt of punishment overtook them while they were [helplessly] looking on: (44) and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. (45) Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. (46)
