Juz 27
Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - (24) When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. (25) Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf (26) And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? (27) He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. (28) Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" (29) 'Such, says your Lord' they replied: 'He is the Wise, the Knower' (30) ۞ [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people (32) “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” (33) Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." (34) Then we brought forth such believers as were there. (35) But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). (36) And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. (37) There is also a Sign for you in the story of Moses when We sent him with a clear authority to Pharaoh. (38) But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." (39) So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' (43) Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding (44) So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge. (45) And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. (46)
