Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf (26) So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? (27) He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. (28) Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! (29) 'Such, says your Lord' they replied: 'He is the Wise, the Knower' (30) ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! (31) They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners, (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” (34) Then We evacuated there from all the believers (35) and We did not find there any, apart from a single house of Muslims (36) And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." (39) We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. (40) And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind (41) that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. (44) they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. (45) And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk. (46)
