Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
18 verses, revealed in Medina after Prohibition (Al-Tahreem) before The Column (Al-Suff)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God. His is the Kingdom, and His is the praise, and He is powerful over everything. (1) It was He who created you; and some of you are those who deny this truth, and some who believe [in it]. God sees everything you do. (2) He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, and He shaped you, and shaped you well; and unto Him is the homecoming. (3) He knows whatever is in the heavens and the earth. He knows all that you conceal and all that you reveal. God is aware of what is in your hearts. (4) Have you not heard the news of those before you who disbelieved? They tasted the mischief of their action, and for them is a painful punishment. (5) This is because their Noble Messengers used to bring clear proofs to them, in response they said, “What! Will humans show us the way?”; they therefore became disbelievers and turned away, and Allah acted independently; and Allah is the Independent, the Most Praiseworthy. (6) The unbelievers think that they will never be raised up. Say: 'By my Lord, yes indeed, you shall assuredly be raised up! Then you shall be told of all that you have done. That is easy for Allah' (7) Believe in Allah, and His Messenger, and in the Light which We have sent down. Allah is Aware of all that you do. (8) When He shall gather you all for the Day of Gathering, that will be the Day of loss and gain; and whoever believes in God and does good deeds shall be forgiven their sins and admitted to Gardens through which rivers flow, where they shall dwell forever. That is the supreme triumph. (9) Those who did not believe and denied Our revelations will be inmates of Hell, where they will abide for ever, and how evil a journey's end! (10)
