Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Reality (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)! (1) What is the sure calamity! (2) And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality? (3) The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity! (4) As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. (5) And as for A’ad, they were destroyed by a severe thundering windstorm. (6) To which He subjected them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that thou mightest have seen men during it lying prostrate, as though they were stumps of palms ruined. (7) Can you see any of their survivors? (8) And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lout (Lot)] committed sin, (9) They did not follow the Messenger of their Lord, and so He seized them with a severe grip. (10) When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. (11) That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. (12) And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast, (13) And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing. (14) On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass. (15) And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy, (16) And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]. (17) You will then be set before Him, and not one of you will remain unexposed. (18) Those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their right hands will say, "Come and read my record. (19) Behold, I did know that [one day] I would have to face my account! (20) And so he will find himself in a happy state of life, (21) in a lofty garden, (22) its fruits are near. (23) “Eat and drink with pleasure the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” (24) But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book (25) And had not known what is my account. (26) Oh, would that it had been the ending! (27) "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! (28) Vanished has my power from me." (29) Seize him and fetter him, (30) then cast him in the Fire, (31) Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits. (32) Verily he was wont not to believe in Allah, the Mighty. (33) Nor did he urge the feeding of the poor. (34) so today he has no friend here, (35) nor any food save the filth (36) None will eat it except the sinners. (37)
