The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) (1) and those that blow gently, (2) And who glide with ease. (3) And who quickly present themselves. (4) by the managers (angels) affair. (5) On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts (6) followed by the succeeding, (7) Hearts that Day will be in agitation; (8) Their looks will be downcast. (9) (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state (10) even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" (11) They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" (12) Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, (13) and behold! They will all come out in the open. (14) Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? (15) When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, (16) "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, (17) Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: (18) that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” (19) Moses showed him the great sign, (20) but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). (21) then he turned away hastily, (22) then he mustered (23) and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," (24) And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. (25) Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. (26)
