The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; (1) and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, (2) and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), (3) by those that outstrip them suddenly, (4) and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). (5) One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, (6) and will be followed by the second one, (7) hearts upon that day shall be athrob (8) and their eyes will be humbled. (9) The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” (10) after we have become bones and dust?" (11) They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” (12) Surely it will need but one shout, (13) When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, (14) Did the news of Moosa reach you? (15) When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, (16) saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. (17) And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", (18) Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" (19) So he showed him the mighty sign. (20) but he belied and disobeyed, (21) and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, (22) and gathered his people together (23) Saying: "I am your lord, most high", (24) So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. (25) Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. (26)
