Juz 30
He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet) frowned and turned away, (1) because the blind man approached him! (2) for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, (3) Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? (4) As for he who is sufficed (5) Unto him thou attendest. (6) What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). (7) And he who comes to thee eagerly (8) And with fear (in his heart), (9) From him you are distracted. (10) No indeed, this is a Reminder; (11) So let him who pleases mind it. (12) (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, (13) Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, (14) In the hands of scribes (15) Honourable and obedient. (16) May man be slain how ungrateful he is! (17) Of what substance God created him? (18) From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, (19) and then made the course of life easy for him, (20) Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; (21) and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. (22) By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. (23) Then let mankind look at his food - (24) How We pour water in showers (25) Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], (26) and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, (27) And grapes and vegetables (28) And the olive and the palm, (29) And gardens, dense with many trees, (30) And fruits and grasses: (31) For use and convenience to you and your cattle. (32) But when there comes the Deafening Blast (33) on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, (34) Mother and father, (35) and from his spouse and his children: (36) on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. (37) on that Day some faces will be beaming, (38) laughing, and rejoicing, (39) but others will be gloomy (40) with darkness overspread: (41) those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. (42)
Almighty God's Truth.
