81 The Rolling
Al-Takweer
Juz 30
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). (1) The stars turn dim and scatter, (2) When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); (3) when the pregnant camels are neglected, (4) the wild beasts are herded together, (5) when the seas shall be set boiling, (6) And when the souls are paired (7) when the buried female infant is asked (8) For what sin she was slain. (9) When the scrolls are laid open; (10) And when the heaven has its covering removed, (11) and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, (12) when Paradise is brought near, (13) then shall each person know what he has brought along. (14) But nay! I swear by the stars, (15) Go straight, or hide; (16) by the night swarming, (17) And the breath of morning (18) [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger (19) Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, (20) obeyed, moreover trusty. (21) And your companion is not gone mad. (22) Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. (23) Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. (24) Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. (25) Then where are you going? (26) Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: (27) for whosoever of you who would go straight; (28) And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. (29)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
