81 The Rolling
Al-Takweer
Juz 30
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). (1) And when the stars darken, (2) and the mountains have been taken, (3) And when full-term she-camels are neglected (4) when the savage beasts shall be mustered, (5) when the seas shall be set boiling, (6) when the souls shall be coupled, (7) And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked (8) For what crime she was killed; (9) when the scrolls shall be unrolled, (10) And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; (11) when Hell shall be set blazing, (12) when Paradise shall be brought nigh, (13) Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. (14) BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, (15) The stars which rise and set, (16) by the night when it approaches (17) by the dawn sighing, (18) behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, (19) one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; (20) obeyed, moreover trusty. (21) And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; (22) in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, (23) And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. (24) And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; (25) Whither then go ye? (26) It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, (27) Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. (28) However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. (29)
Almighty God's Truth.
