81 The Rolling
Al-Takweer
Juz 30
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, (1) And when the stars darken, (2) And when the hills are moved, (3) when the pregnant camels are neglected, (4) And when wild animals are herded together. (5) And when the seas are set on fire, (6) When souls are reunited (with the bodies) (7) And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. (8) Upon what sin was she killed for. (9) the records of deeds are made public, (10) the heavens are unveiled, (11) When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; (12) And when the Garden is brought nigh, (13) A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. (14) BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, (15) The stars which rise and set, (16) The closing night, (17) And by the morning when it shineth forth, (18) Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, (19) who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, (20) [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! (21) Your companion is not possessed; (22) Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. (23) Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. (24) nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. (25) Where then will you go? (26) This is merely a reminder to all mankind; (27) For the one among you who wishes to become upright. (28) And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. (29)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
