Juz 30
The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Woe to those who give less [than due], (1) those who, when they are to receive their due from [other] people, demand that it be given in full (2) But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. (3) Do they not think they will be raised (to life) again (4) [and called to account] on an awesome Day (5) a day when mankind shall stand before the Lord of all Being? (6) No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. (7) What could let you know what the Sijjeen is! (8) It is a comprehensively written Book (of records). (9) Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth (10) those who deny the Day of Judgement. (11) None denies it but the sinful transgressors. (12) When Our verses are recited to him, he says: 'Fictitious tales of the ancients' (13) No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. (14) On the Day of Judgment, they will certainly be barred from the mercy of their Lord. (15) Then, verily they will indeed enter and taste the burning flame of Hell. (16) and they will be told, "This is what you were wont to belie." (17) But, the record of the righteous is [preserved] in the 'Illiyyin -- (18) And what will make you know what the highest Iliyin is? (19) A record [indelibly] inscribed, (20) The ones nearest to God will bring it to public. (21) Verily the pious will be in heaven, (22) reclining on couches, reviewing (the bounties given to them). (23) Thou wilt recognize in their faces the brightness of delight. (24) They will be served a drink of the finest sealed wine, (25) pouring forth with a fragrance of musk. To that [wine of paradise,] then, let all such aspire as [are willing to] aspire to things of high account: (26) It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. (27) a fountain at which those brought near (to their Lord) drink. (28) Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. (29) when they passed by them they winked, (30) And whilst returning to their homes, they used to return rejoicing. (31) And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. (32) (they said so although) they had not been appointed watchers over them. (33) But on this Day the believers will laugh at the unbelievers (34) Reclining on couches, looking on. (35) Will not the infidels pay for what they had done? (36)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
