86 The Comet
Al-Taareq
Juz 30
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. (1) what do you know what the night-visitor is? (2) It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: (3) There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. (4) Let the human reflect of what he is created. (5) He is created from a gushing fluid (6) Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: (7) He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. (8) On the day when all secrets will be made public, (9) he shall have no power, and no helper. (10) So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, (11) And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. (12) Most surely it is a decisive word, (13) And is not a matter of amusement. (14) Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. (15) And I secretly plan. (16) so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. (17)
Almighty God's Truth.
