The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, (1) Who creates and proportions, (2) Who determines and directs, (3) Who bringeth forth the pasturage, (4) And [then] makes it black stubble. (5) We shall make thee recite, to forget not (6) Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. (7) We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. (8) Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, (9) and he who fears shall remember, (10) but the reprobates will turn away (11) He will be cast into the Great Fire. (12) Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). (13) Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, (14) And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. (15) No; but you prefer the present life, (16) although the life to come is better and more enduring. (17) Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, (18) In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. (19)
