92 The Night
Al-Layl
Juz 30
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Night as it conceals (the light); (1) and the day in splendour (2) and by the creation of the male and the female. (3) Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes); (4) As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, (5) and believes in the finest, (6) We shall ease the way of fortune for him. (7) But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need (8) And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); (9) We will facilitate for him the difficult end. (10) his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. (11) Surely upon Us rests the guidance, (12) And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. (13) Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire (14) whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, (15) Who had denied and turned away. (16) And avoid it shall the most pious, (17) [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself (18) and confers no favour on any man for recompense, (19) but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. (20) And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. (21)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
