92 The Night
Al-Layl
Juz 30
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the night when it draws a veil, (1) and the day in splendour (2) And by Who created the male and female, (3) O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! (4) As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, (5) and believes in the truth of the ultimate good (6) We will ease him toward ease. (7) But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, (8) and he belied the finest (9) We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; (10) And his substance will avail him not when he perisheth. (11) Surely, in Our hands is guidance, (12) and, behold, Ours is [the dominion over] the life to come as well as [over] this earlier part [of your life]: (13) Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire (14) whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, (15) Who denied (the truth) and turned away. (16) But save him who fears (17) Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. (18) They do not expect any reward (19) He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. (20) and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. (21)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
