92 The Night
Al-Layl
Juz 30
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night when it enshrouds, (1) By the Day as it appears in glory; (2) And Him Who hath created male and female, (3) surely your striving is to diverse ends. (4) Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. (5) for those who spend for the cause of God, (6) We will facilitate for him the easy end. (7) But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. (8) And who belieth the Good, (9) We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). (10) And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? (11) Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance (12) and, behold, Ours is [the dominion over] the life to come as well as [over] this earlier part [of your life]: (13) Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, (14) None shall enter it save the most wretched, (15) Who denied (the truth) and turned away. (16) But save him who fears (17) Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. (18) not as payment for favours received, (19) Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. (20) And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. (21)
Almighty God's Truth.
