Hizb 13
Juz 7
Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed. (78) They did not restrain one another from the evil they used to do; undoubtedly they used to commit extremely evil deeds. (79) And now you can see many of them taking the unbelievers (instead of the believers) for their allies. Indeed they have prepared evil for themselves. Allah is angry with them, and they shall abide in chastisement. (80) And had they believed in Allah and the prophet and what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them for friends but! most of them are transgressors. (81) ۞ Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikun (see V. 2:105), and you will find the nearest in love to the believers (Muslims) those who say: "We are Christians." That is because amongst them are priests and monks, and they are not proud. (82) For when they listen to what has been revealed to this Apostle, you can see their eyes brim over with tears at the truth which they recognise, and say: "O Lord, we believe; put us down among those who bear witness (to the truth). (83) And how could we fail to believe in God and in whatever truth has come unto us, when we so fervently desire that our Sustainer count us among the righteous?" (84) God will reward them for saying so with gardens where streams flow by, where they will live for ever. This is the recompense of those who do good. (85) But those who disbelieve and belie Our verses shall be the companions of Hell. (86)
